Mohammed Hashim is the Managing Director of Knight R&D with an MSc and BSc (Hons) in Software Engineering. He began his career as a front-end developer before moving into R&D tax consultancy in 2013, later working at firms including KPMG and Grant Thornton where he supported FTSE 100 companies and multinational organisations such as Shell and global banks.

With over 11 years of experience in R&D tax, Mohammed specialises in software engineering claims, R&D tax legislation, and enquiry resolution, maintaining a strong track record of successful claim defences. Since joining Knight R&D in its first year of trading, he has played a key role in shaping the firm’s growth, helping transform it into a structured, process-driven consultancy.

Outside of work, Mohammed values time with his family, his faith, and his interest in watches. He is particularly proud of the collaborative and supportive culture built at Knight R&D.
