Matthew Murphy is a Senior Manager at Knight R&D with a First Class Honours degree in Computer Science. He joined the firm in 2019 as a Consultant and has progressed through several roles, becoming Senior Manager in 2025.

Matthew specialises in IT and Software Engineering, supporting businesses from early-stage startups to multinational companies with R&D tax claims, including successfully defending claims during HMRC compliance checks. He has also contributed to the firm’s growth by helping implement internal processes, training, and people management initiatives.

Outside of work, Matthew is a dedicated Everton season ticket holder and enjoys keeping fit and playing golf.
