Alex Brett is an R&D Tax Manager at Knight R&D with a Master’s degree in Chemistry. He spent more than three years working as a research scientist in the water industry before moving into R&D tax consultancy, where he now has over five years of experience.
Alex works across a wide range of R&D tax engagements, with particular expertise in the costing aspects of claims, helping clients understand eligible expenditure and appropriate assessment methodologies. He has also supported the development of internal processes, including implementing a tax documentation checklist that has helped strengthen the team’s delivery and confidence.
Outside of work, Alex enjoys snooker and tennis and is currently undertaking ATT training as he continues to develop his professional expertise.
